Switching a data plan: what to do with a budget?

Can't find a correct solution. :(

Let's suppose I pay my Internet provider 5 $ a month — I've got a budget named 'Intenet' for that. Recently the company has put in some new data plans and I decided to switch to a more affordable one — 3 $ a month. So, what am I suppose to do with my existing budget 'Internet'? If I change a sum for it, that would ruin all my calculations about my expenses for the Internet, right? If I add a new budget — what am I going to do with the old one? How can I end it and keep all my previous expenses to keep them for displaying in reports for example?

I'd be grateful for any help on this question.

Dear Alexander,

However in your particular case you might want to consider if you really need a budget for a single recurring expense that you know the amount of every time. How does the budget help you here?

You could also generate a Categories report to get the same information (spending over time for a particular category).

Thank you Pawel. Perhaps you're right. Sticking to categories might help. Thanks again. :)
